Potential problem with braided lines?

Hi guys fitted some wezmoto braided brake lines to the front of my bike today and apart from when squeezing the lever (definitely more solid than stock lines) the actual reach of the lever before the brakes engage has remained the same, just wanted to see whether this has been the case when you've fitted braided lines or if something else could be the cause? (Stock levers by the way)

Why would you expect it to change?

If you change the master cylinder or the calliper you may get a change in travel. I can't see any reason for the lines to change the travel unless your old ones used to balloon massively.

Just wasn't sure what to expect from braided lines and having completely redone the brakes recently wasn't sure as to whether something else could be causing it.

The reduced bulging of the lines gives a firmer feel but the initial travel is a combination of any air in the system, and the lever travel needed to push the pads onto the discs fully.
