Default Starting problem..........again

Turns on fine, push the start button, solinoid clicks but starter motor don't turn


Any ideas

I'm sure that you will have checked for a flat battery, but other options

Engine seized
Starter motor knackered
Breakers in the relay are't making contact

Managed to get it bump started with help, got to work and tryed it again with no joy.

The starter motors not working, i'll have to strip it

you may be lucky and it may just need a bit of a clean.. or the bushes in the starter motor?

Well whacking the starter motor while pressing the button gets it started

however this is not a cure so i'm stripping the starter tonight and see if that help

I am as well looking for a second hand one if anyones got one

It sounds like the solenoid is sticking. If you have to whack it.
Usually frees it if you give it a thump.

But if it carries on sticking, strip it down and clean or put another on...

Looks like the nut for the main feed has been overtightend .... or has got corroded and someone has tried to undue it and broken it.
It looks like a part you may be able to get on its own ?? p.s are you going to AR06?
