so......... i just took mother to aldi (1st time) for the friday BIG shop

gets to the till ................

me; can i have some carrie bags please
till woman; how many
me; 5
so she starts scaning the stuff
me; can i have my bags please?
tw; sorry i cant give them to you untill the end
me; the end of what?
tw; you have to put everything in the trolly, then go over there & put it into bags
me; give me the bags now, & i will put it straight in
tw; cant !
me; why?
tw; because of the que
me; what que?
tw; well one might start
me; i can put things into a bag at the same speed as putting them into the trolly, then i dont have to do it twice.
tw; ........... just looks at me & carries on scanning

i wont be going there again

That was probably the same person that must of been sacked after I complained to a local fuel station.

Refused to turn the pump on because I was sat on the bike with it upright. I got off, held it upright, nope. Bike has to be on it's sidestand.

When I went in to argue the toss, apparently it's company policy, for the safety of customers. Hmm, company policy from a petroleum company that puts customers before profits? Pull the other one!

She refused to give her name when I said that I wanted to know because I was going to write to their head office as I'd seen a biker at a different petrol station in the same company doing what I wasn't allowed to do just to "company policy."

Christ, I went to Tesco a coupe of weeks ago and came away with a full, and I mean FULL, boot (Volvo S40) of carrier bags. For two of us.

This morning there was a young lad, about 7 years old buying, tea bags, milk, and sugar.

He was 54p short, and the lady in the local corner shop just stood there and said that he hadnt enough, staring at him.

He was nearly in tears, bless .... he said, 'me dad wants a brew'.... she still just looked at him

So I lent him 54p. For gods sake, poor kid, silly cow
