Update

Email from Mr Umbongo (my name for him) asking if we've got his cheque yet and asking us to lodge in, then let him know when it clears

I doubt mr umbongo has any intention to come and get your car. He will have sent a cheque for £8000, and will ask you to send the other £500 to his shipping agent.

In that case Mr Umbongo's agent will have to come and collect the cheque

Right update on the last couple of days activity and a startling revalation

Mr Umbongo is not Nigerian, he's really Mr Knickersoffski from the Ukraine

Well Mr K as we'll call him sent MRS MZ an email requesting £3500 to pay to his agent to ship the car to him

Turns out the ficticous cheque he'd sent to Mrs G Raffe, at Letsby Ave had an extra £3500 added to the price of the purchase of the car. (yer right everyone pays up front shipping costs )

Oh yes could we send the money by Western Union, by Friday morning

We'd told him cheque was due to clear Monday, so scam is to get us to pay him from our money, before his rubber cheque is discovered, hence the need to pay him by this morning.

Wifey told him yesterday that it wouldn't be possible to get to Western Union (not that she would ever do this)

He asked if my wifes mum could do the transfer, as it was her car, sorry no he was told.

I was going to send him a penny, as he wanted the Western Union reference once we'd transferred the money

I also offered to get my brother in law to drive the car there, as he's working in the Ukraine at the mo.

Sadley Mr K has gone quiet on email since yesterday

Mrs called the Police to report it, but they couldn't do anything, although he did laugh when Mrs told him the ficticous name & address we'd given Mr K

Thats why I wanted to send him just a penny by Western Union

I was out the whole day, so wifey had to think up the answers, she's not as evil & twisted as I am
