i ws reading up on this topic on the sv rider forum and it seems that the gsxr shocks dont have a suitable rebound setting for the sv. apparently they need to be re-valved to have this issue sorted. any ideas? is this worth worring about?

Every stock shock or fork needs more rebound

is there a rear shock that does not need the cutting of the battery box? how about those with resavoir at 45deg?

You won't get one that's "right" but there are some that are less wrong than the stock one for reasonable money.

Don't worry about cutting battery box, better to get the "least wrong" shock you can find.
