My mother had a 1975 (I think) Firebird.

(NB: this isn't it, but it was this colour)

Very cool car, she drove it through the ice and snow which is something consider it's big, heavy and rear wheel drive!

As a result I really like my Pontiacs and am not happy that they're getting rid of the marque next year! Hence my car collection in Forza 3 is entirely Pontiac

I know they were rebuilding old Firebirds into a replica of Burt Reynolds' Trans Am from said fillum, but check some of these project cars out. Nice!

Being particularly wise at the age of 17, I turned down an offer of my grandmother's '69 Chevelle... for free. Epic fail on my part

I'd love to know where the car is now. (pic above is just an example in the same colour)

Burt who...? (Joking)
It was Sally Field and the Trans Am that were hot!

As for the trans am....They are all carp now. (as mentioned they weren't much to start with)
One in good shape would cost a fortune.
Especially a "Bandit" car.

My Dad had a 69 vette convertable with a 427 tripower engine, 400+ bhp.
He sold it when I got my drivers license.
Was an ugly maroon color popular in the day.
The red looks much nicer.

But in all reality.
Finding a classic Firebird, Trans-Am, Camaro, Corvette or a Mustang in
decent condition is going to be rare and expensive.
Most lived a very hard life as their owners all thought them to be race cars.

Amen to that! Does the Sally Field come as an optional extra with a Trans Am? I hope so
