You have got to be kidding....letting on you are in the job is the last thing you ever do. In this day and age coppers are so frightened of using common sense and getting critisized that if they twig who you are, especially if you hold any rank, they'll do everything by the book. Knowing the law and their various powers and proceedures helps a bit, but not as much as just plain old fashioned good manners.

What's wrong wih your wallet, purse or pocket?

I haven't displayed an up to date tax disc for years and I've never had a problem. And yes, I've had a couple of little chats with nice police people in that time too!
