ive got myself a beowulf end can for my 06 K5 and it has the necessary link pipe to attach it. obviously i need to remove the header pipe and cut it.
From what i can tell im going to have to cut it about 3 inches up from the weld. Does this sound about right to you guys? Ive been looking for a how 2 on here but there is alot of posts. Cheers, James |

You can do it with the down pipes still attached, just keep you eye on the blade/grinder!
As for the measurement it should say with the instructions. |

I used a 4" angle grinder - dead easy and no damage as long as your not ham-fisted. 9" grinder will do an easier job with the same care. If you're worried, pop a bit of stiff card or thin plywood between the pipe and the swingarm. Cheers, Garry ![]() |

only thing likely to get damaged is the swingarm, wrap it up with some thick cardboard and that'll protect it...

Angle grinder with a nice thin cutting disk is the way mate, so quick and easy.

Also always cut to the waste side of your mark. You can take more off but you can't put it back

Heya. I put on a Scorpion can and +1 for the 5cm. I just used a hacksaw and cartboard between the can and swingarm.
