Clone HHD Laptop question....
Oh mighty .Org I pray for your knowledge on the subject of Laptops HHD....!
How do I make a complete CLONE of my current HHD including boot up + rescue partitions on a New HHD ? (Current old one=500Gb - New one=750GB) Thank you in advance.

Acronis
Ideally fire up acronis on another PC and stick your drive in a caddy to back it up. Else create yourself an Acronis boot CD (if you have a CD drive) Stick the new drive in a caddy then let acronis "clone" the disk. That will do all the boot/recover etc too.

Buy yourself one of these http://www.maplin.co.uk/sata-hard-dr...station-222999 and get a copy of Acronis or the free Seagate Disc Wizard to clone the entire drive. The Seagate utility is not limited to use on Seagate drives.

There's a guide on how to do this in this weeks Micromart, although its cloning a normal HD to an SSD, principle is the same
