1) Speed limits to be a recommendation. If you are involved in an incident and you are above the recommendation then any charges are brought as being aggravated and come with stricter minimum sentences.

2) Commercial Use license to be required for commercial use of a vehicle. These would be given out as a matter of course - effectively an extra entitlement, but with a much lower barrier to suspension of this license - a fixed penalty notice could leave you able to drive but not for Commercial use.

So, you my dear, would have to go in hiding for having the indecency to tar a lot of those folk with the same brush as that chavvy so and so that you are trying to get at

You really can't go making such a generalised statement in the current climate, its not a very fair assumption

Ahhhh, ok,ok, if people have been unemployed for more than two years.....does that make it better???

I do understand that some people have been made redundant and I don't inculde them in my generalisation.

I'm talking about the millions who are on the dole that have 5 kids, no job, house paid for by the DSS, etc etc.

For example, in my town, the local housing authority has built a whole lot of lovely new houses. They have moved the people in the scheme of houses (known for 99% being unemployed neds/junkies etc etc) that they have wrecked into these new houses......AND have given them a £3000 grant to pay for furnishing!!! WHY DO WE WORK???

I believe in a Universal Basic Income, have a read about it

Aparantly if you hit someone when they jump out in front of your car or bike, you are responsible even if you had no chance of stopping - i would change this to make the driver innocent in certain situations.

There should also be harsher punishments for theft and burglary

You are of course also aware of the recent government scheme to reward employers for employing someone who has been out of a job for 6 months or more with some kind of Bounty? (no not Coconut and Chocolate )

So basically I get made redundant and next week next potential employer not only has to weigh up my skills against the guy that has been unemployed for 6 months (which could be due to having lost his job by being made redundant too) as well as the £££'s the gov will pay them to take him on.

Oh well just more madness.....

That's not true, if you had "no chance of stopping" then you havent done anything wrong. I have been to many such situations and the driver wasn't charged.

You should however, be prepared to stop in the area you can see to be clear and if you have had enough chance then yes, you will be booked

I certainly am and in short, I think the government is making it more difficult for the hard working citizens who have been made redundant in this climate to get back into a job.
