The carbon effect is a bit cheesey, but the plain gloss black looks pants IMO.

Dunno if you'll have the same problem on the pointy, but on my Curvy, with some tyres fitted, the clearance was very tight and stones picked up by the rubber could cause damage.
TBH Pete, there seems about 10mm or so between the tyre and hugger and my tyres have loads of tread left on.

Been thinking about a black hugger for my bike, think I prefer how it looks without though.

Slight derail, but I think Dave means the plastic trim clips. Like these:

Really easy to remove, just push the center of them in (I used a small allen key as it has a flat bottom unlike a screwdriver) and then it pops up a bit so you can pull it out.

They're in the fairing, Dave was talking about fitting the tail tidy as far as I was aware

"I got the same tail tidy too and it was simple enough to fit aswell.... Would have been easier if i knew how to get the little black plugs out of the fairing..."

Ahhhh Interesting thread. I ordered a hugger from Moore Speed and when it came they said they couldn't fit it due to the tyres being too big. So I have to wait till I need to replace the tyres to get the hugger on. Since I bought it with brand new tyres on it, its gonna be a while.

Oh and the hugger is shiny black!!!!

Agread.

Best part of an hour to remove the old snow shovel.

About 25 mins to fit the new tail tidy.

Re: the plastic rivets.

Use a small socket around 6mm to hold the round lower part of the rivet against the rear bodywork.

With a flat bladed screw driver, or similer, push the pointy end of the rivet through the outer part about 5mm, outer part being held steady with the socket.

Now remove the whole rivet, which is still fit for use, replacement.

Fitting is a reverse but only your fingers are required.

If you remove all the rear bodywork, which is best, DON'T FORGET TO RE-LOCATE THE PILLION SEAT RELASE CABLE in the retaining lug behind the key hole.

Begs the question Amanda, after they have fitted the hugger, what happens the next time you have a new rear fitted? Unless it was like mine that this particular rear is a larger rolling radius and another make will fit fine.
