Hmmm, .5L = 500g(ish) = 1 dinner (ish).

Not much of a difference I would guess

I haven't got round to test riding one yet (nor convinced the mrs that I'm allowed one !), particularly as I'm fairly certain that if I test rode one I'd put a deposit on it there and then!

On KJM superbike website they have the spec list for K6 and K7 and height, width, length, weight, compression ratio, etc are all the same, it just shows tank size as the only difference. I know both have the adjustable rearsets and as Rigor says they'll undoubtedly feel the same but just wondered if there was any other differences not listed by spec sheet anyone knows of? Doesn't seem like there is anything else (apart from colours obviously). If this is the case it would make sense to save a few hundred quid and get the K6 with a bigger tank and then (marginally) cheaper insurance after the £99 year.

Just need to convince the Mrs!

I havnt noticed any difference between them and ive riden both. Jst ask at the dealship when (not if) u order it.

I wont regret it trust me.

All id say is if ur a big lad like me (15st) then try a 750 if u can afford. Alot more mid range and pant staining top end. I wen for the 750 jst because that mid range felt better.

Try both if possible and weigh the difference up yourself

No mate I'm only 5"8' and 11st(ish) so shouldn't be any problems. I have sat on one which felt lovely but just not taken the test ride plunge yet! I couldn't afford the 750 to be honest and don;t think I could justify it when they have that insurance deal on the 600.

600 OTR under £6k + £99 insurance = £6k
750 OTR £7k + £1000(?) insurance = £8k

Maybe a 750 (or 1000!) in the future but not just yet!

As i sed dont even know if there have um on the 600. (deffo on the 750 and 1000)

Mabye Kate will know she had a K6 600.
Had? I'm on my second one!

As far as I'm aware there isn't any difference between K6 and K7 except the colour scheme. Both have adjustable rear-sets and slipper clutch etc.

I'm pretty sure KJM do imports? I'd check if I were you, as if you do get an import you often can't get warrenty work done except at the dealer you got it, it isn't valid at other dealers. Plus you can have problems selling it on too.

Kate, I wouldn't buy from KJM (not that I've got anything against them it's just not close to me) - it's just that they had a much more useful website than any of my local places so I was using it for info!

It may possibly explain why they have a different tank sizes for the K6/K7 though? Maybe import ones slightly different but UK K6/K7's are the same? Again I don't know but it probably doesn't make much difference. I think if I was to buy I would get a K6 - I love the all black K7 but I would take a silver / black for £400 less! (But having said this, would I get some of that back on a K7 black one over a K6? Who knows?!)

Cheers,
Matt

The K6 also comes in all black, doesn't it? I'm 99% certain I've seen a black K6 but you're making me doubt that now

The K6 comes in three colour schemes - blue and white, black and silver and black. The rarest was the black and silver and the most common the blue and white. Tbh, I've seen more black ones on the road than any other colour. There are other colour schemes available, but other colour schemes are likely to be imports. The white and silver is an import for instance.
