If someone would give me the dimensions and i could do it i'd have a go at a front wheel spindle.

From the drawing on the part site (Ronyares is it?) I can see it's a stepped spindle with a thread on the end. Only problem i could see being how to cut the allen socket in as i'm not sure how to otherwise i could file flats to create a socket on the end? and do i have to cut anything to allow for the clamp bolts?

Stainless front wheel spindle sounds good actually.

And i'm going to look for some stainless caliper bolts too but i'd imagine they'll be off the shelf at local industrial suppliers.

And i said spindles as turning diameters i can do but anything more complex and i'm not the best.

Why do you want to make a spindle?

bling bit and in stainless better against winter corrosion.

Also machining a spindle is easier as you've just got 2 diameters to turn and cut a thread on the end.

To be honest the SV is simple as all the bolts are pretty much off the shelf for a stainless steel replacement and even the caliper pins are just 6mm bar which you cut to size and drill a hole for the R clip.

I fired off an email so it`ll be a wait and see on the Caliper bolts , should be sorting out a part number and link for both front and rear .

As far as making a spindle goes it`s dead easy , the allen bolt part is the hard bit but I would just machine a Hex on it and not bother with Allen .

Except i can't use the miller although if i asked i probably could get it done for me.

As far as stainless goes my Caliper bolts are brown with rust after 17 months. All 6 of them. Getting my caliper pins made and 80% of my bikes bolts are now stainless as are the pipes. ACF50 and i'm fighting against putting the bike away. Also the gear shift rods should be simple enough to do. Infact i could do it if it's 6mm bar as i know there's some in work.

Not on my bike they aren`t , mine have a thin pin with a larger threaded end on it and no holes for R clips , it screws into the body of the rear Nissin caliper and then a Plug Screw (type of Grub Screw) goes in after that to keep it secure . As I put in the second post , it is cheaper to get a bling Titanium one that an OEM one

Front ones are just R clip. The rear one in titanium i might order as i was going to try make one out of stainless (credit crunch and all that)

I bought a CNC machined one for £8 and it has also been Mirror polished already , I am pretty sure that one thread on the end can`t be done with a Die , one is normal and the other is Left Hand ? I could be wrong , either way I couldn`t be buggered with it and got one online , One thing I am on the look out for though is a Hex shaped bit in Stainless that goes on the end of my Gear Rod to extend it as I have rearset plates on my bike , keep them eyes peeled

I haven`t looked at the front ones yet as far as R clips etc , I had just concentrated on the rear , one thing at a time

Got it from this guy on eBay
