Manned up, PMSL. My 8st girlfriend manages a 650 clutch no problems. Just surf plenty of porn 1handed and you will be reet.

My clutch lever was getting to be a pain literally, a cable oiler and a can of duck oil sorted it pronto.

How often do you touch the clutch in 40mins? Unless you're constantly filtering you could try changing gear without the clutch.

Like the others have said, it really is a light clutch. You'll get used to it!

I think I get sore tendons easily or something, I've had problems with both my Bandit 400 clutch and the SV650S clutch. After a 3 hour or so ride in the twisties, my clutch hand would get so sore I couldn't pull the clutch in and it would take days (maybe more than a week) for it to get better.

The Bandit and SV use the same screw mechanism for the clutch and I've modified both by adding about an approximately 20mm section to the arm the cable attaches to. You can see in these two photos my first try on the bandit, I actually reduced the extension from these photos to about half that length.

It doesn't make a huge difference to the feel, but it's enough to stop my hand getting sore.

I'll give it some lube - see if that does the trick, because it certainly isn't nearly as light as you people are saying it should be!

Ophic posted the equal bestest suggestion. Make sure your lever(s) are at the best angle on the bars for you. Chances are that unless you've adjusted them yourself, or the previous owner did, that you'll find it ten times more comfortable if you "roll" them forwards a little way (so they're pointing more downwards).

If you're thinking the clutch is simply stiff because it needs lubing, then I'd lube the throttle cables whilst you're at it. Chances are if the clutch cable hasn't been done for a fair while then neither were the throttle cables.
