Oil warning light

Yeah, the light didn't come on. I thought it would come on before the oil got low enough to damage things but that's me told.

It's running okay now I've topped it up so I guess I got lucky. Fingers crossed it keeps up. I was surprised because I normally get away with an oil and filter change every six months or so and this was way quicker than that.

Halfords only had a choice between the 1L full synth stuff aimed for race bikes and the massive 10L bottles of semi-synth, so I didn't really have a choice. Didn't have a rag handy to wipe the bottle down so now my pillion pad stinks of oil.

I'll toss the valve caps next time I do the pressures and put the plastic ones back on. I don't know what came over me: I saw them and felt the urge to tilt my Burberry cap back on my head, crack open a can of Stella before tarting up my SV.
