We once were in some venue and they wanted to see the PAT certificate for a 20m 63amp 3 phase cable.

I just said you get me a PAT tester with a socket that a 63amp 3 Phase connector will go in.

We ended the conversation there and carried on setting up.

Great . Does your company have the right equipment for you to carry out this PAT testing?

Foxy, sorry I haven't got back sooner, but now have managed to book up my day PAT Testing Course with http://www.pat-testing-expert.com/, and will be going on this on the 16th September.

No we haven't bought any equipment as yet, but will find out whats the ideal piece of test equipment to purchase in order for me to carry out all the checks in the office.

Got any recommendations all the same?

Lloydie there are many different types of testers out there. Maybe you could ask on your course for some advice to which is the best to suit your requirements. The one I use is really old and supplied by the military but it suits our needs. It sounds like you will be buying a much newer one. Maybe someone on here can help advise you that is using one which is more up to date.

Or you could ask Shelly as her brother may be able to help you

Foxy, I'm sure that the course instructor will best advise me on where to spend the company funds , and get an appliance that'll do what will keep the Suits at the Health & Safety HQ happy.

Thanks for all your advice.
