Not sure what I've done
![]() Checked chain everything looked ok. Stuck it up on the stand to get a better idea where the noise was comming from. Engaged 1st, let clutch out slowly, back wheel spinning, as I let the clutch out the chain started bouncing. Which sort of indicated that some of the links were a bit tighter than they should be. So thought OK, I'll go get a new chain & sprocket set. So put bike back in garage. Stuck it in gear, stall, don't know what I've done but now the clutch doesn't disengage completly. Engine off, in gear, clutch in, there is a definate resistance to roll. adjusting the cluch cable makes no difference. EDIT: It would appear that the clutch isn't doing anything. Help! If you wanna have a look, the clutch cover is only a rubber oring so no time consuming gasket stripping needed. Ofcourse you will have to drain the oil, unless the oil line is below on the side stand.
Im having an odd clutch dragging issue and it isnt my cable or mechanism either. |

could you of worn your clutch out?
or maybe clutch springs gone? do you change gear without the clutch much? could you of damaged a gear in the gearbox if its only at low speeds? will wait to be corrected now on reasons why its not the gearbox. |
