Which SV; the far better looking curvy or the badly built pointy?

I take it that why on my bike all the bolts seemed to have been changed to fancy chrome ones.

I previously though it was to chav it up.

Depends which bolts, stock got some decorative stainless and plated stuff. Bit of grease here and there and you'll have no problems.

I have to say that hardly any bolts are rusty on my '00 Curvy except for the bolt on the exhaust hanger (which probably came with the exhaust) and the bolts that hold the rear indicators in under the pillion seat.

Currently own and are running both the 2001 curvy and a K6 pointy although its the 07 reg. Personally cos Im a short ass the curvy is far better in this weather Im sat up more so its more of a fun ride. The pointy is a bit more balls out by comparrison, awsome on a ride out but tbh the curvy is the better commuter bike. Taller people might not have this problem but for me the reach over the tank is significantly increased on the pointy.

My pointy is lovely, build quality is good, she runs beautifully and is a pleasure to own. I did fit a bolt kit though because the Suzuki originals went grey or started to rust. I love my little K3, she is a beauty, especially after I got rid of the ugly Indicators too.

The reason why my Pointy was out of action is that I had fitted an ABM Comfort Kit and had neglected to relocate some of the wiring , this had , consequentially , caused a bit of a strain on my loom causing the ignition wiring to spark and burn out a tiny amount . This was not down to Suzuki but my own fault for being in a hurry when installing the kit and not taking time to make sure everything was spot on before re-assembly ...... German instructions do not help either as Babelfish wasn`t that great at translating all of it . Normally I am very fastidious with things like that , something I overlooked to my own detriment . YC , Davepreston and Bibio made the final fix on the bike and it has not missed a beat since ..... despite being operated daily in hideous weather .
