If identical twins can know when the other is hurt or something wrong, why is it not possible that other things go on that we don't have an understanding of.

I'm like James, I could say more on the subject. Some people don't have the facility to be able to 'see' what goes on around them

When they prove it scientifically and publish it in a properly peer reviewed article I believe it. Until then BS.

I`d really like to believe that there is something after death... I don`t think i`ve ever seen a ghost but I`ve had many "strange" experiences that I would like to believe prove the existance of an afterlife.

Some things in life can't be learnt or experienced by reading it in a book though. Science still has a lot to learn
Don't be so quick to condemn things you have yet to find out.

No I'm quite happy to invite people to support their arguments with facts rather than hearsay and delusion
You state something as fact to support an arguement then it had best be a fact.

Hearsay, overactive imaginations and the power of the human subconscious are all powerful factors which can easily let people fool themselves into thinking something is occuring.

Find me some twins and I'll design you a double-blind test which will prove whether they have some "connection". Then you can use it as fact, or I can say BS... one or other. That is science, that is logic, that is sense.
If you don't take that approach then me taking load of mushrooms and typing what I see is more rational

I've quoted this part as in my last post I wasn't posting about twins. On that one it is purely hearsay.

What do you think that the human brain is capable of?

Meditation, the body and brain depend on each other. Whatever keeps the brain happy helps the body too.
The human brain is capable of fooling itself about many things and is undoubtedly an amazing thing with respect to how we can control complex tasks etc. But if you mean as far as exerting physical effect on the physical world, no, I don't believe that for a moment.

On the question of souls, afterlife(s) etc. I choose not to have an opinion, maybe I find out when I'm dead.
