Either flat on the floor or over my right mirror





and its perfectly safe, the right mirror is stuck up in the air, it pokes right out of the lid.

Mostly like that but other times over mirror as the naked mirrors come right through the visor opening.

erm the normal way. Flat side down on the deck

Does hanging on the mirrors not weaken your mirrors and cause it to vibrate??

NOPE! None of mine ever have, but then curvy faired mirrors are like bricks, and have nice cushions behind them onto the frame.
Not sure on the Raptor, as they are like nakid mirrors sat on little spindly legs!

i allways put my gloves down and put the lid flat side down on top of them .
i wouldn't dream on putting it on its side lol unless was on carpet at home or something.
