Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but with my under the yoke front stand, it came with 5 or 6 different diameter pins so that it works with any bike.

under the fork paddock stands are more specific as distance between forks vary. On my 675 the bottom of the forks are different heights, so most stands don't work (or are very unstable)

ABBA stand is good, though I never used that little front lifting thing they sell. Only downside is you need a new fitting kit for every bike.

Ya, having to purchase all the fitting kits will be the downside - however for the time being it seems the best option for looking after the bike myself...

They seem very easy to use and very sturdy. The trolley for under the superbike stand looks like it could be very handy for turning the bike in the garage to save wheeling her out backwards every day!

I'm just wondering would it be very cluttered under the bike with this setup for working away, or is it not that bad?
The SV is meant to have its oil change etc. done on the sidestand. So don't worry about stands on that point. Plenty sturdy.

Didn't know that - cheers.

Want something that will be useful for everything though - cleaning, maintenance, tyre changes, etc

It just looks far more useful than the paddock stands since it seems very easy to do by yourself which I mostly will be. The trolley thing looks pretty cool for down the line - saves reversing the bike out of the tight garage. Fell over on me the first morning I had the bike - brother in law parked in front of the garage so had to revers her out at an angle and switch directions half way down the slope

i have an abba stand its really good, ive used it to remove both front and rear tyres, i just put something solid below the down pipes to hold the front up and it was fine. takes less than a minute to put on the stand and its really solid

+ lots for the abba stand. Bit of a pain if all you want to do is oil the chain.

I've just bought a tiny little bottle jack for a few quid from ebay. I can use it to lift the front rather than paying over the odds for an abba lifty thing. You could use it to lift the rear whilst the side stand is down enough for you to oil a chain too. A couple of months back I done a trackday and as I ride the bike to trackdays I took a rear paddock stand and the jack. I put the rear on the paddock stand and raised the front with the bottle jack on the left fork (with steering lock on) so I could use tyre warmers. It worked a treat.

If you can find one buy an NWS stand - similar in function to the Abba but holds the bike more firmly and requires no adaptors. Look here: Click me!

I know I've said it before but having owned both I know I'd buy the NWS again for preference.
