Has worked for me in a number of situations, and not all bike related!

With no experience, and without reading any of the replies...I'd probably roll off, possibly change down, and and just try and take everything as smoothly as possible...maybe a little throttle to get some weight off the front...all depends on the corner though.

brake, drop a gear holding clutch in. when directly on said gravel lean bike over stick out inside leg and dump clutch, accompanied by a medium to large handful of throttle. exit corner sideways giggling like a loony.

Firstly: oh sh*t, ar*s and b*llocks!!!
Secondly: - back brake on followed by the front at less than 50% - gently knock it down a gear slowly letting the clutch out again - lean in as much as dared - neutral throttle (around 10-20%) - sort out gear etc when on the otherside with a diamond in ur ass

Its happened to me on 3 occasions, not sure it was at speeds others would describe as a fast pace but it scared the crap out of me.
I didnt do anything really apart from hope for the best, i did put my foot down on one occassion. Its the front tyre sliding whats the worst, i can almost cope with the rear, but the front is unpredictable. |

Even at slow speeds it scared the living poo out of me. When the front wheel feels like it's on casters it's time to scream like a girl. (Touch wood) ![]() Pull in clutch, feather the brakes & pray to jesus allah buddha or whoever will listen. p.s. Try to keep your eyes open as it helps you to keep your balance (seriously, I had to force myself to keep them open). |

Keep your upper body relaxed (eaiser said than done I know...)
All depenadant on the exact scenario - i.e how fast and how much time you have to scrub that speed off... |

Had exactly this - a few years ago now.
I rolled off the throttle, feathered the back brake, leant in to the corner, washed out the front and fell off. ![]() I've done exactly the same thing in similar situations and got away with it. |
