Double check again IMO just to check it didn't drop a few clicks as you pulled it out. Feel how much friction there is in the mechanism to see whether this is likely.
(just double check before firing into replacing camchains)

I just got a but kicking for not setting the cam to TF and the fear of dropping a tooth so took out the plugs and turned the engine over by hand to check.
Now ive got to check the time he said its 21 teeth back? |

Yeah i put it back in then the spring and bolt heard it click lots then turned the crank 360 degrees
