If it was so good they'd be using it in industry and you'd be able to get it anywhere.

Regarding threadlocks I use the loctite stuff, 242 GP threadlock is fine for 99% of stuff, 620 for putting bearings in that need locking so you need heat to get them out. But there are loads of products that fit the bill.
Ive got the following...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=390287770639
and threebond 1342 & threebond 1301 (i think these are the actual suzuki ones they repackage)

A link for the 1.50 stuff would be cool!

Hi folks, handy thread but I'm a noob so got a noob question. Didn't think it needed a whole new thread so thought I'd nick this one.

Been giving the bike a really good clean, try to recover from the harsh winter. Took the wheels off, but the as I'm working outside got some dirt on the axel etc so was gonna clean them up. However, not sure what grease I should use for all the bits (also noticed in haynes manual that the speedo drive is supposed to get a slap of it before refitting).

TIA!

Thanks very much! Only thing I've got lying around is copper slip. Will nip out to the shops tomorrow!

Copper slip is no good for anything that moves in use. If you've got copperslip, LM grease or lith complex and rubber grease you're pretty much set.

Yeah that's what I thought. I pretty much use copperslip on bolts to stop them getting stuck and that's about it.

Good to see what they are all for. Trying to build up a wee toolkit.

Thanks again.

How does the Putoline range of stuff do in the SV?

Have used their fork oil and its working well so far (15w).

They have stuff called raving grease. what would this suit on the SV?

Have either castrol or putoline available to me where i live. Just looking for options
