Learn to maintain your bike, take it apart, rebuild the engine & more (using better bolts ![]() K3 Job c.v: Engine:remove/split/rebuild/refit. Replace:Gearbox,Fuel pump,Gaskets. Piston clean,rings. As Yorkie-chris says. the end gap is measured with the rings in the cylinder, try about 25mm down from the top, this is where the wear is the greatest. Ensure the rings are square in the bore buy making them exactly 25mm down from the top all round. You can now measure the gap. Would be surprised if they were worn. When replacing them in the piston be careful and make sure they are the right way up.
