Sounds like the most cost effective way of solving the problem.
And to be honest, if does become a problem for pillions I haven't really wasted anything by trying! |

Here you go. All I did with mine was to make some spacers & use longer bolts to fit the hangers to.

Just nee 2 bits of aluminium tubing or bar drilled through aut to length iirc about 35mm then slightly longer bolts to attach the pillion peg hanger
