I have no issues turning the rear, treaded or slicks, been doing it for years, but for some reason I wouldn't feel comfortable doing the front. I can't offer any reasoning around that though so logic would suggest if the rear is alright, then the front ought to be as well. I do tend to only do it in the dry though.

im not going to recommend it but it didnt present me with any issues riding reasonably quickly in the fast group. i would never race on it though for sure although ive done a race with a spun rear part worn - wasnt very good on the lefft hand corners after being spun though

Hi,
Trouble with front is if you loose it it is harder to correct than looseing rear. Plus a lot of stress under braking and smaller contact patch. I know tyres are expensive but if you did come off due to this think of the damage that could happen to you and the bike. Also if a third party got involved you could end up being liable as it would not just be a racing incident. Sorry to sound so negative but best to be safe than sorry.

Cheers bud, not sure yet. Tried booking today cos pdmcc Facebook said limited places left but could book today. When I eventually got through they said I couldn't book and have to ring Monday! Want 11-1 if poss so miss traffic both ways. Metcheck weather forecast looks awful, freezing, windy with rain and sleet. Might be on sets after all this philosophic discussion.lol
