Not yet. Off to Scotland on Thursday for the weekend so this is going to have to wait.....
Then I just have to make a decision and figure out how I'm going to pay for it. |

I found the 750 to be the best all rounder. It does not corner quite like the daytona 675 but it still does pretty damn well and when the engine is wound up the thing is like a ballistic missile however it still has enough torque that you don't have to be revving the crap out of it to make progress, also comfort is good for the bike type.

Just thinking..... Can you tour on a Gixer?
Looking for opinions from people who have or have tried? I was thinking that I would want to keep the SV, but looking at money etc I think I'm going to have to chop it in to get payments on a gixer down to the area that I want...... Problem with this is that I like my touring a bit - I've done (and plan to do) a loop of Scotland most years, and I enjoyed Carnage - which RD did on a Gixer and Ralph did on a Daytona - so don't suppose it's completely out of the question...... How did you find it? Would longer days kill you? etc etc. |

Well I fully intend to do 10 days in Europe in September on my Gixxer. As I've learned my lesson from my somewhat lacking luggage system in France I'm just buying a Kreiga US-30 and US-10 now for next week as I'm heading out for 5 days on the bike around England and Wales. As for the longer days question, I find it easier to spend long periods on the Gixxer than the SV, it is certainly much more comfortable to ride at higher speeds than the SV not to mention it feels a lot less frantic.
So I would say yes, you can. Last edited by ravingdavis; 14-05-12 at 02:09 PM. |

Ah I see, unlike the old SRADs where there was a size difference at least between the 600 and 750.

While that is true in a ergonomic sense the 600 will be more tiring to ride due to having to change gear more often, I find having a bike with more torque makes it more relaxing to ride.
