Two things I can think of. The first has been mentioned, local firewall settings. If you are using the native Windows firewall (and there's no reason why you shouldn't) then simply turn it off to test. If you have any other local firewall or security apps installed then suspect these also.

The second is to do with a file corruption with HomeGroup. Delete the 'idstore.sst' from "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\R oaming\PeerNetworking" and then start the HomeGroup troubleshooter which recreates the idstore.sst on restart. Instructions for the troubleshooter are here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...troubleshooter

All Firewalls off (Windows+Router)

idstore.sst deleted, restored by troubleshooter.

Problem not resolved

Dont turn the router firewall off, that provides a level of protection from the outside world, especially important when the client firewall is disabled.

So, tell me a little about the pc. Its a 64 bit copy of Windows, connected up to your internal network etc yes? Are you able to browse the internet from this client? Can you ping its IP address from your other clients (when its client firewall is disabled)?

That made me think, but checking they have unique names.

Internet disconnected (I'm a bit paranoid) whilst Router firewall was off.

64bit Windows 7 - Yes
Connected same internal network - Yes
Browse Internet - Yes I'm using it now.
Can Ping to and from MRS's , Ping the PS3 and the phone without problem. Homegroup works fine & network shares work as expected (PC's can see each other and share files).

could you take a look in the 'network and sharing center' app and look for the network your computer is part of. Check that the network type is set to 'Home' rather than work or public.

Have no idea what has fixed it but Windows build in Media streaming is now working.

May be coincidental but first noticed it working when having both Wife's account and my own both active at the same time.
Other things that may have helped:
Disabled numerous Services and start-up programs e.g. anything with Adobe or HP in it.
System updates
.Net framework has been updated but have no idea why or if its related.

Anyway its working now, as is PMS which is a lot better.
