Or it's easier to just leave it on the window after the vinyl has been applied. Why go to the effort of removing it, where are ya gonna keep it? This way, if and when the vinyl is removed, the wiper will still be there.

I have a VW caddy with blacked out windows and solid bulkhead so have no idea if I have switched on rear wipers by accident, till the wiper catches me fingies when I am standing holding the door open or just plain scares the bejeezus out of me when it moves coz I have forgot the wiper even exists let alone works.

Bizarely had a conversation about exaclty this question at work last week.

Our work vans are the same, according to the MT no windows in rear doors is an option as it stops theiving b***ards looking inside, but when the doors are manufactured the fittings for the wiper are part of the building process but the windows are cut out and fitted order specific, so whether you have windows or not you get a wiper.
