No worries, when i encountered my stripping nut i thought about welding a new one on but this was alot more seinsible :P

What nut and bolt combo do I ask for? I mean, like, an extra long M8 with a nut at the bottom?

If you have a local ironmongers you can just pop in and pick a longer bolt and get a nut that fits it
