if your going to take them out any way. Wouldn't tell the world about it just keep it to yourself. But if you did have an serious accident and no proof of a restrictor your pretty much liable no matter who's fault.
Personally I would just either wait or redo test after the age of 21.
not worth the risk. besides with more BPH its more tempting to start pushing the speed limit which is a no no.
besides the_lone_wolf is right. A saw bum is never a good feeling.
Everything above.
Your willing to risk it all with your mates ?.
If you cause a crash, they will have to sue you for compensation, their bike and or broken bones, how you ever going to re- pay them?.

Does yours not sometimes have a little jerk in traffic? Low speed, really low revs? Just pulling chugging itself along just off tickover mine does it sometimes.

Rest of the rev range is very smooth and pleasant though. Agreed.

Nope. It will run right down to idle, and back up, smooth as can be. That's easier to do with carbs than with fuel injection, I think... must be.
The SV650 is one of the best engines I've ever ridden in a bike.

I've got the idle circuits set a little on the rich side, so it warms up very quickly. I'll ride down to 40 degrees (Farenheit), and even on those days, it's ready to ride off in short order, though not actually warmed up. No jerking, no snatch.

Maybe its just mine then. Its only occassionally mind.

Yeah can be a pain when its cold. Its been known to stop when letting the clutch out, wheb it would never normally do when its warm. Does anybody elses do that? Or is that just me to?

I was on a restrictor on my k3, the throttle type with the washers. even after my two years were up, the engine is lumpy and horrible.

just under 6,000 rpm for 70 mph motorways feel horrible, accelerating from 3,000 rpm in what ever gear is horrible. That is unless you like your balls, hands and arms been shaken to pieces at all times. So dont hope taking it out will remove these features. the best advice I can give you is buy a nice HONDA CBR600rr. Nice and smooth, looks better. but you will have to wait at least 3 years for the NCB LOL.

anyone tried fully opening accelerator in 4-5 gear while at 2-3000 rpm? (this puts speed of bike around 40mph) the shaking from the bike by doing this makes me laugh, with next to no acceleration and nothing but vibrations.

Sounds like a few bikes need carbs/TBs balanced. This is a key source of lumpiness and as it creeps up on you can get really horrible before you notice it.

Didn't you happen to think that something might be wrong?
