Tested voltage at the flasher unit as per Haynes and everything checks out. Continuity from the switch to the holder on the loom side but whereas the left hand side holder buzzes out from the switch to BOTH wires on the holder, the right hand side only buzzes on one wire. There is continuity from the earth on the right hand holder to the frame. I'm assuming this means that the issue is where the feed from the switch splits to either indicator?

The supply, flasher, switch and wiring thereof works - we know this from the other side indicators working. Also the right side indicator wiring from the switch into the loom works OK - we know this from the front right indicator working.
The supply, flasher unit and switch can't be at fault if three of the four indicators work. If the negative to the indicator in question checks OK, and you've ruled out the indicator itself by swapping the plugs over, then the problem can only be from where the wire from the switch splits to go to the rear indicator onwards - that's inside the loom. Stop looking at the flasher and read my post again.

Yeah I'd figured out its the light green feed from the loom. I checked the flasher unit as part of all the tests.
Just need to figure out where the feed splits into two so I can trace/fix the issue. Last edited by Nobbylad; 27-07-13 at 07:39 PM. |

Update:
Started looking at this again after my holibobs, turns out it was a loose connection at the connector blocks nr. the headstock frame spar. All sorted! Thanks for the input ![]() |
