HID Fitting?

You need to check your not stressing any connections.
Be careful very high deadly voltage from the ballast!

Guess ill have to take it all apart again tomorrow and make sure everything is comfy in the front fairing. If all is well - what else could it be?

Could the fuse for low beam have blown? If so - what would the reason for that be? Is it easy to get to the fuse box?

If it works when you tried it before fitting the fairings chances are its all Ok.
If you have a bad component your have to check low voltage connections first. Then it's substitution of the hi voltage parts. Unless you are super human

I fitted the hids and held the front fairing up to the bike and plugged in the main connector. They worked. There was some flickering before I started the bike but once I started it, they worked. The left side acted as low beam and when I flicked on high beam they both came on. Then less than 10 mins later I started it again and only the high beam worked. If i have to switch to high voltage then it's getting the Eastern Beaver kit isn't it?

If it worked once then didn't and nothing has changed apart from screwing in some bolts. The bike hates me.

H4 =bi xenon. So you should have a thick 2 conductor to the bulbs from the ballasts . Then two thin ones that come from the control box (relays).
Then your old H4 connector has a connection to the control relays.
Separate 12v feed via the control box to the ballast

That is exactly what I have.

That's maybe why it's not working properly. See second diagram.
Your better of having a seprete fused supply to the ballasts.
