I wud say its about 2mm from the edge but it felt so low, dont know where i will be able to use the full width of the tyre!

Front tyre is about 1mm!

Nowt wrong with that bugger, i wud never ride on the limits of my tyres, its just not practical!!!
You actually ride faster without your knee down, because of the lines you take!

Be safe

Well matty you are getting it well over so whats your issue :P

take it to a track day now you obvoiusly have the hang of it

i am currenty about 4 to 5 mill front and back but still on the oems cant wait for them to run out and get some decent rubber on.

BTW i stuffed a pair of leathers once getting my knee down but forgot my sliders DOH !! that was on the CBR though with decent rubber and on very decent day.

dont know if its just me but after 3 years of riding the thought of putting any part of my body too near the floor at speed still doesnt quiet add up! am i alone on that one?!

but having said that only just got thin enough to get into off the shelf leathers so now have two shinny new knee sliders so might be converted oneday!

i have to say i have never had my knee down and dont really find it a major thing. some of the fastest riders on the road dont get there knee down and take corners at speeds that most of us wouldnt like to imagine on a bike that is weighed down by panniers, sirens and flashing lights! when was the last time you saw a mcycle copper with there knee scraping the floor!!!
on the track i can see the point but what is the need on the road??

glad to see i'm not alone on that one!

one small correction its the ambulance bikes do go slightly faster! hehe! think it comes down to fastest colours again! hehe!

but your right i have it on good authority it is all but impossible to get your knee down on a fully kitted response bike even round marble arch!

oh unless your one man i know who managed it but only by falling off!!!!

its ok though bruises, a red face and a life long **** take from us on the trucks was his only injuries!

Default Pegs Down

I don't know about getting my knee down because I haven't invested in any sliders yet, but last week I managed to get my right peg down after trying for ages!

I got my mate to hold the bike stationary at the angel of when the pegs touch the floor and nearly **** myself. But I can confirm it can be done.

which brings me onto my next question...where is a good place to get new peg extensions from? The bit that touches the ground?
