Are we talking about running at 3000 rpm while stationary, at a constant speed? You'd get clearer answers if you gave better info to start with I think...

Yes it is stationary. I have it parked in the garage up on stands. I'm not going to ride it just yet until I can figure if this is normal or not. Any ideas to point me in the direction where to start checking. If it is running lean, what would have gotten knocked around during the accident? It idles fine and runs fine (when stationary) at 3000 rpm's. The glowing just has me wondering.

Not an answer to your problem, but I'm amazed that you have had this "problem" since January and haven't been and spoken to someone at your local Suzuki dealer. Talk is cheap you know, infact they could probably answer the question in a few seconds for nowt.

Ride the thing there (if it's not too far), show them what you mean, get professional advice if you are getting mixed answers on the net.

It is possible that it's running lean, but then it's equally possible that this is just something that happens when you run the bike for extended periods without a load or any air circulation... I never noticed anything like that when I was doing the same while I was off the road, but then I don; have stock headers so maybe I would have otherwise. Not very helpful I'm afraid, buteven in normal running the exhaists are extremely hot and not far off giving you a light show.
