The smaller your hands are, the easier it is I'm going to replace mine shortly with a K3 one- I can still silence it, but it doesn't stay quiet for very long. I'll report back once it's done to say how I get on.

Certainly is possible... My bits are on the way. Just doing the front oen for now though. It's still not a 100% "fix" by all accounts- you can find the odd noisy K3. But mine's been going downhill fast and really needs replacing, and I can't see any point in putting another carbed model one in- on the other hand, I don't really want manuals.

A bit of cam chain noise is perfectly natural and not a problem though, remember that. It's just something chain-driven cams sometimes do. The trick is to know when it's a problem, a trick that it seems I don't have (turned up at my dealers on saturday to get a fuel run done, the owner flat refused to put the bike on the dyno- this despite the fact that he knew he'd not see the bike for the work he was recommending. So I took the hint )

I had a terrible rattle at 3000 rpm as well as all the other noises. Annoyed me for ages and the other day I binned the original horn for some duel tone scroll horns and the noise totally disappeared. Pulled the horn from the bin and it had some stones in it and being a bell shape it amplified the noise. Certainly something for others to check.
Oh and the horns are awsome
