Well both my SVS's have 2 lights on... with both for highbeam, rather then the left one being a spot light lense for high beam. Using the lovely H4 bulb.

My ZX9 has both headlights on at once and very good lights they are too.Makes you realise how crap the SV ones are out of town.

Question..
![]() I find the two lights give good visibility anyway but does anyone know if the 'Blue Vision' type replacement Bulbs are any good. Do they cause any extra unnecessary drain on the battery? |

My brothers Triumph Speed 4 also only has 1 out of the 2 headlights that shine. It doesn't make much sense to me either.

Hi, Lukemillar.
First of all, it's not a stupid question. I used to wonder why so many bikes had only one bulb working! As far as I know, it's simply a case of different manufacturers having different thoughts on lighting. Some (like Suzuki SVs) have both working in harmony. Others (like Yamahas) have one light for dipped and the other light for full beam. You can get conversion kits for some bikes (like Yamahas) so that both lights do the same thing at the same time (like Suzuki SVs). Hope that helps.

Goonrider, the blue vision bulbs are excellent and really do make a difference IMHO
One thing I noticed though, as they really are bright, sometimes depending on the "newness" of some large road signs, the light reflected back is really intense so I dont tend to look at the sign for too long ! Ref the current drain, nope, had no problems in the 2 years that hey have been fitted. As I said, they really do make a big difference |
