oh yes - re my other wheel, it has the same 3 spoke pattern as the SRAD and SV, but at a guess looks to be off an older model (slabside GSXR?). I'll measure it up (hub width etc) to see if yous can ID it...

Hmm... I'm sure the older Gixers(pre SRAD) had the prop design. Interested to see what wheel it is now .

Cheers

ahhhh yes - it is the prop design - cant think of an excuse, just didnt look properly . What is the best thing to do with it - back on ebay I suppose?

Anyway, I paid Motoliner a visit today - so now have a scabby but straight SRAD wheel to add to the Bitza GSXR front end collection. Just need to get a tyre fitted now and the rest is easy (yeah right - just like v.expensive Lego really ). ....

Is the 'other' one a 1200 Bandit front wheel?

I wouldn't think so as the 1200 bandit got the same spoke design as the SV.

Cheers

OK - lashed everything together on saturday and took her for a spin around the yard!! Still some way to go before is MOT'able, and is never going to be as smart as Kieran's. Thinking Semi-Rat bike - it is for everyday use, so I cant be worrying about scratching any perfect finish! Anyway heres the before and after (so far) - do you like the new fairing??? (somehow I dont think so - twin spots on the way when budget allows - Still need to work out how to mount the standard clocks)

I did 20K on my SV with the forks yokes clipons and mudguard from a GSXR750.
Both stems are the same.
The SV spindle is narrower so use that, turn up a spacer on one side and a phossy bronze tube on the other with appropriate threads inside and out (steel/alloy won't cut well and the torque will probably rip the thin tube walls).
Good solid half inch alloy plate will allow you to mount the original calipers with the right inward spacing.
Lock mounts are the same.
It cost me sweeties to have the spacers made and an afternoon with the hacksaw for the caliper plates.
No need to fork out (excuse the pun) for more bits!
