Rather than painted body-work, I was thinking more about transparent plastics like the screen. Any ideas on that one?

Mix 50% T-Cut with 50% car wax polish and rub gently in circular motions. This should be fine enough to bring the screen and other transparent plastics up nicely; I've used this method on my helmet visor to polish out small scratches. If you take care you'll find it will work nicely.
