Have to agree, Mr Sheen is the best, fastest and if you use the vanilla scented one, the best smelling way of cleaning your wheel.

anything will get it off really, wd40 is the easiest (as there is always a can of it to hand)

i use loads of the stuff and i know its obvious but dont get it on your tyres or brakes

Same stuff. Actually says kerosene to clean the chain in the handbook.

What the others have said. I find those small Mr Sheen wipes are really good as well.

Having tried a number of 'preparations' (ooh er ), paraffin gets my vote too. The H-G chain spray I use is the nastiest, sticky goo imaginable, but a rag lightly impregnated with paraffin moves it quickly.
