Indeedy, most people will say, changing the filter is good practice. Infact I change my oil on average every 5-6 weeks.....2500-3000 miles. I'm not sure if it's really doing much good but that's what I like doing

Currently, I've never chaned the filter, but as I average 120-150 miles/day I change the oil a lot....

I was looking in the Haynes manual as I'm trying to diagnose a fault at the mo, and came across the oil change section...

They recommend changing the filter every 3rd or 4th oil change(I think), and recommend changing oil every 3-4k....

Either way, at 14k, I think it's time my filter was changed

Afternoon all.
Put the handbag down SV racer Indeed a 4k service should be a thorough one, for as you've pointed out there's a lot of checking fasteners/hoses etc that have settled in.
What I meant was that West London Suzuki were, when I was down that way, frankly CR*P! Henceforth an oil change was all one was likely to get for ones hard earned..
I left the Southeast at the end of 2004 which I believe was only their 1st year of trading, I had seen some woeful workmanship on bikes that had been to them, as always I speak as I find.

Ah but you didnt mention it in reference to what WLS do.

As lots that do their own home servicing come here for info..its only fair that a reference to: the 4K service its only an oil change..is corrected.

It also stamps out the fever that then spreads when people add up the labour they have been charged and think they have been ripped off.!.
