seems the problem has been found, it was a sticky set valve dam this bikes more complicated than the ones I'm used to, the guys on the gixer forums take it off the bike completely.

Isn't that the EXUP type exhaust butterfly valve in the photo? How does this affect your oil pressure? Genuine question.

dunno guy on the gixer forums said the red light comes on together with Fi in the temperature gauge, said its a commom problem til you get rid of it all together.

The pic is that of the exup fluffle valve thing, check both cables to the actuator motor, if one is loose or come adrift you'll get the FI signal. When I had my gixer 1000 K6 and I changed the exhaust this happened (valve was part of the yoshi can and not in the collector like yours). I didn't get the oil warning though.

So it wasn't an oil light at all, it was the engine management light

tis the same light and guess what, the bikes stood and now the light wont go off again
