Sorry to hear about your off buddy

Here's another offer from Brizzol for assistance along with Federer! Have paddock stands and abba stand and a bloody good mechanic who can check your bike over for you and MOT it at a later date! If your lucky I might even have a clutch and brake lever you can have for nought!

Is it just round the indicator in a circle thats cracked? I rode like that all of last year, 10k miles 140mph no problem. I fixed it last month with Q-Bond from the unpainted side.

This might help you:

I havent downloaded it but that seems to be the Manual. It will help if your stuck taking the fairings off.

I have the actual sv650s manual from the purchase, cant seem to find anything about fairings. Found a lot of people on here willing to help , I will check with a local bike shop it is mechanically sound, then work on fixing the cosmetics myself. Have already had a few offers for them, and I will also contact PJ or Fed for some help ! Thanks again peeps

Holla! Assuming you're in Cardiff (add location to your info) there are a few of 'us' about. Post in the South West Surfers forum if you need some help closer to home, but good on those Brizzle boys for being so gracious

I don't have mad mechanical skills or repair experience but have quite a few tools and glad to lend em to you if needed. I also know where you can get fairing repaired in Cardiff.

Would agree that it may be better to getter spares depending on whether you can find some! Also, agree with the shout to check forks. You may not be able to see if there's a hairline crack in the stanchions (especially where it meets the clamps) and they are not known to be the strongest component. At least get that and the brakes checked by a mechanic.

In terms of budget, I suggest making sure its roadworthy first and spend any available money on that. The cosmetic repairs can come after and you can do them slowly if short of cash. I've ridden without fairing and it felt awful but when you put on the new ones it will bring a smile to your face Order restored!

Hi guys , have found a full body kit coming on sunday discluding the fender. Got a fender with extender coming for £40 same colour and model and a new set of mini indicators.

It looks simple enough to get the nose fairing off, just the allen key in the screws right?

Main concern is fitting the indicators, payed £45 for the last time I had them fitted !
How do i connect the bullet end of the indicator to the wire of the bike, anybody got a link?

Thanks guys !

Just take your time, and don't be ham fisted. The fairing bolts are easy, but there are little plastic hidden lugs, that snap easy, that you can't see.
I'm not sure what you mean about the wires......OE indicator have a white connector block, pull the tab a little , and slide it apart. Is yours hard wired together? iirc there are two screws holding the indies on the back of the fairing, then the rubber mounts push through the hole.

One more thing, when taking the mirrors off, watch out for the small rubber spacers coming off and rolling away, most are held on the fairing, but sometimes they fall off, they have a little metal spacer too, all with two holes for the mirror bolts.

Just think about where you work on your bike. Don't do it on your lawn, gravel driveway or in the road next to a drain! You will drop something, it will be little, you might not see it fall, and you will miss it when you come to put everything back together!

If you can solder then could either wire them straight in with some heatshrink over the join or solder on some bullet connectors. If not then either ask one of us who can or you'll have to pay someone again.

Okay I have my replacement panels , one of them although its not cracked its been filled (not very well).
Would it be easy enough to get some touch up Candy Grand Blue paint?
Has anyone got a link to a guide for taking these fairings off?
And finally the indicators, all I have is the wire straight from the bike, i think i need to heatshrink them together but I have no solder, federer, when are you free next!
Could you do these things?
Thanks
