My eldest son (now 16) went to Whistler on a skiing trip a couple of years ago with the school and came back with some 'Da Bomb' chilli sauce....that was quite hot and he got into trouble for taking it into school with him...he did tell them not to rub their eyes once they'd put a bit on their finger to taste it.

I put Franks Red Hot on a lot of things, it's not that hot and livens up cheese on toast and pizza.

I also use insanity sauce 2 drops in a curry for 4 people makes it just the right heat and works out a lit cheaper than buying chillies every time.

Top tip, if you have a begging cat or dog at the table give them a bit of cheese with some insanity sauce on, they beg no more (please note no animals were harmed in the discovery of this well they got over it anyway)

I make my own if the chili plants produce enough fruit. Often smoke them to make chipotle sauces. Yum!

I would prefer a flick on the ear, than to give any of my cats chilli sauce and risk a vets bill for ulceration of the mouth.

It has the same effect. Not that my cats beg at meal times.

Or a firm left hook...

You can't get ulceration of the mouth from chillis. The hot sensation comes from direct binding with nerve cells... not by causing chemical burns...

Which is why feeding 100k+ scoville chillies to macho idiots (and cats...) is both hilarious and harmless fun
