The forks will be fine even if the bike fell over.

Looks like someone has made a big error offering you that payout!

Maxton front end would e better than gsxr btw

I dont know if it fell over as I wasnt there but thats what there offering after the independant inspector took a look even though he thinks the suspension is ok. Seems a good payout to me for it so im not going to argue now just to wait for the cheque.

Then make a decision if its time to trade in and up to a bike with some more power or upgrade the bike I already own. Leaning towards a newer different bike as ive had this one since it rolled out of the factory.

Also I will keep the maxton front end in mind if I decide to keep the bike.

That's a good result for sure. Did you have CCTV or a witness or something?

Nope the Biffa men told the people that they collect the bins for that they had knocked into the bike with a big metal bin and reported it to there office as well and when I rang them about it they passed me to there insurers who then passed me to there accident management team who then arranged everything.

Lol. I hadn't considered honesty as a possibility TBH. I'm obviously getting too cynical.

£1200 sounds like a lottery win. If there are no signs of physical damage anywhere on the bike other than the headlight cover, then it is highly likely that there is no internal damage done anywhere. This means you have just been offered £1200 to get a new headlight cover. Take it and run!!!

Regards
