I think u need to be careful with the blown high lights which are mainly on the dogs faces. They lack detail and distract. I also think the backgrounds need to be less distracting. You could either use a larger aperture to blur back ground more or use Photoshop to try blurring back ground. You might also want to change the colour of some of the items in the back grounds which draw attention from the subject.

No i think you are right i can go overboard with the highlighting, will take your advice on board and give it a go still got loads to learn but having fun with it all the time
