Of course you should - everyone knows that Hondas are rubbish and that Kawasakis, (green ones ideally), are bikes of the gods.
(Of course I s'pose I should mention that they are both ****in' excellent modern bikes and there really isn't any advantage in either, despite the b******s you'll read suggesting that one is better than the other for 'X' reason, not to mention the dubious 'fact' we keep hearing about Hondas being better built. Hmmmmm... Which one do you like the colour of most/think is more comfy/gives you a firmer ******? etc etc.)

I have not ridden either machine but have followed both, the Honda sems to be the quicker bike on the road, certainly handling wise a lot smoother. I would not change the CBR for the 636.
The Gixer 750 as proposed earlier would be a better proposition although I guess I am a tad biased. If you're worried about milage on the CBR, maybe a second bike for general commuting etc is worth considering... |

as probably the person on this board with the most mileage on a 636.... the B1H did have its problems with suspension, which causes the aformentioned slower riding on the roads.... the suspenison is effing hard, so you feel the bumps.. which is kinda off putting... if you had the cash, or the suspension had been tweeked, and had the rear shock replaced with something else, then It should be a better bike than the Honda.. on the MCN ninjas website, most f the riders have said how much difference changing the rear shock makes to the bike..
I never found the suspension to be that much of a problem, as I never pushed the bike that hard.. now on an 07 ZX-6R, and I ride it much quicker than the 636 simply down to the ride quality being that much better... but you can tell straight away the lack of midrange as far as the engine goes.... plus, I would have thought the ZX-6R being that little bit better on fuel, as Hondas are supposedly thirsty buggers, and have also been told by someone who has ridden both bikes, that the kwaks fuel injection is far better as far as smoothness goes... put it this way, the kwak is probably as close to a race track ready bike as you will get these days.. they have made subsequent Kwaks since the B1H less focused.... (I should know..) but that makes the newer ones far better 'road' bikes.... take the Kwak on the track, and it will be in its elements... ohh, the B1H does have a nasty habit of letting you KNOW you are going fast.. which I loved on the bike.. I like fighting my bike.. Im not into a completely smooth easy ride.... makes life boring! little things like headshakes, the front becoming very light on acceleration.... just lots of little things which kinda keep on telling you if you drop your guard, this bike will eat you alive.... ohh, plus the fact when you are doing 130+ and still accelerating and you hit a bump.. the frot comes off the ground.... ![]() |

Why not buy the kwak and sell it for a profit? If that is an option. Then spend the profits on the cbr? This is just a thought as don't have any experience of either bike and I think choosing a bike is a personal thing.

Never riden the CBR but personally I loved my B1H and only sold mine for financial reasons. I wouldn't hesitate to get another. As kwak said probably one of the closest you can get to a race track ready bike on the road.

![]() I'm not a huge fan of either bike, but I'd have the 600RR if I had to have one of the two. But it does depend on what you want from the bike- you can compare hardware all day but the two do have different appeals. I'd also say it's probably not a big enough change to warrant the hassle and cost (unless it's going to be cheaper than the RR)
