The black of the early curvies looks scabby pretty easy, the ones with the second crankcase version with the silver paint seem to fare a bit better. Or the corrosion isn't so obvious...

The one inbetween is much better. Its like a graphite grey colour on my black SV, its faired much better than expected for its age, only scabby bit on that was the acidic blood of Bambi that melted it off where it landed. It hasn't got any worse in the three years since that happened!

The silver one from Pete and Lissa looks positively ageless in comparison to Suzy's original silver engine!

Hi all, I searched and dug out this thread. I'm looking at buying a pointy and have looked at a couple now. I saw a 55 plate last week and everything was either dry and/or rusty. Lots of rust bubbling through on the forks especially. If there is light service rust is this easily treated? I got home and looked at my curvy and the only errosion, which I already knew of, was on the front forks!
