I love my job. I loved my last job. I have been miserable in previous roles and it affected my enjoyment in life. As such, I would never work in a job that makes me feel that way again. Thankfully, I'm in a good position to be able to do that, not through lots of money in the bank but my industry doesn't have much young blood in it.

Are you saying we should put different age groups in different industries?

I didnt care much for my last job. Mainly i wish people would shower or a least wash themselves before inundating me with the same old basic questions day after day. my new job is pretty good. Its not intellectually challenging but im treated like a professional and a human being. The team I work with are set a job and the manager disappears until we let him know the job is done. I only do part time work since im still a student though.

more like young blood cant get into the industry, pretty much the only successful way into a skilled industry is through an apprenticeship or something similar. People that wast times doing full time college course's would only benefit if going self employed as company's tend to not want to pay someone the going rate or anywhere near it if they have no work experience

saying that my job makes me feel all over the place, some days it's good some days its bad and stressful, at the minute its crap, little joinery going and site work is slim so im rushing between site's baby sitting as my firm for some reason employs retards who don't know their ar5e from their elbow

I agree with this. I have applied for positions with a few big American technology companies on their graduate programs, they seem to be the only way of getting a good footing into the IT industry. All of the other jobs I have seen require at least 2 years hands on experience or something similar.

yep, took me 2 years to get an apprenticeship, company's are shying away from it due to a number of things; its expensive to put someone through college/university (even more so for someone 19+) and sadly, particularly in the building trade most apprentices that are taken on are lazy, rude, cocky, sh!t and generally a waste of human tissue let alone oxygen, due to this company's tarnish all young people like this. My firm after 50 years as decided to stop taking on apprentices because of what a let down they have been, out of 3 i was on the only one that actually finished my 4 years, the other prooved to be lazy, rude........ you get the idea, but the company wasted alot of money on them

the current apprentice we have is a complete nob sh!te and after 2 years of doing it still doesn't know how to hang a door..... and no i have no idea how he still has a job, it annoys me as i know plenty of people looking for apprenticeships and plenty that didn't get to finish theirs as their company went bust

Overall I think I would say that I don't like my job very much. I dislike the unflexibility, the unachievable NHS targets, the constant demand to 'prove' yourself, the constant threat of 'if you don't work hard enough and give us evidence you're working you'l be fired'. These comments aren't directed at me mind, they are said to the whole time in a roundabout way.

Since starting it I have loss confidence in myself and begun to dobut my ability and debate whether I actually want to pursue my chosen career. I am glad I have a job, but Id rather do something else which makes me happier and want to get up in the mornings.

My previous job was brilliant apart from a nasty colleauge and the periods of low workload. On some ocassions I would be bored out of my brain for over a week!

Unfortunately there are no jobs I want at the moment so am stuck with my current one until something pops up
